Description

This Gryphon Guardian is looking for a home! www.etsy.com/listing/236501456…

A bit of background on the general sculpt, while chatting with some friends, we had come upon the subject of mirrors used in jewelry and how they can be worn as a sort of amulet. I've always had a fascination with mirrors anyways, so naturally ideas immediately started to come to mind. Going with the theme of protection, gryphons were one of the first critters which came to mind, themselves being guardians of treasures. These are sculpted a bit differently than my normal pendants, more like a raised image. I still enjoy the idea of having a flip side to the pendant, so these amulets have a back side as well. If one day you're feeling that you just need protection, you can wear the mirror in, but if you're expecting a confrontation, the mirror can be worn out.

This color combo was inspired by those warm greens found in forests. This one is a bit different from the usual Gryphon Guardian. This time the cast was made solid so that I would be able to make the "mirror" another color. This time I used a gold, which is quite intense in combination with those natural greens and browns.

Pendant Info
Each measure about 1.5 in tall and 1.5 in wide. From sculpting, to casting, to hand painting, these pendants are all done by my own hand, so you can be sure that much love is poured into each of these unique critters. They're cast in a sturdy resin which is then hand painted in acrylic and pastel. Afterwords, they're sealed in a protective varnish, and will each come already hooked-up to a necklace cord which best matches the pendant. LIMITED EDITION, there will only be 25 casts of these little guardians!
